Join us in person as we celebrate the power of art, literature, philosophy, music, linguistics, and languages. Everyone’s safety and comfort is our top priority, and we wanted to share our latest policies and protocols with our community.

Everyone attending Humanities Day is expected to follow the current University of Chicago COVID-19 health requirements.
• Masks are recommended during your visit. As of May 11, 2022, the University is recommending that individuals wear a mask in indoor settings when others are present.
• While the decision to mask is your own, the University asks that you carefully consider this extra precaution in shared indoor settings, including offices, classrooms, and public transportation, as part of our efforts to help prevent further increases in cases.
• Visitors are not required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test as a condition of admission.
• Anyone coming to campus is expected to self-monitor for symptoms and stay home if you have potentially been exposed to COVID-19 or have had any symptoms.

Compliance
The decision to be present at Humanities Day 2022 serves as your agreement to comply with all health and safety protocols. Humanities Day staff members reserve the right to deny entry to or remove visitors who are disruptive and/or disrespectful toward others.

UChicago encourages everyone to be vaccinated including receiving a booster shoot for COVID-19 at their earliest opportunity, including visitors to campus. More safety precautions are available on UChicago’s GoForward site. You can find a vaccine location close to you by using the search tool from vaccines.gov.

Please remember that we are still in a dynamic COVID-19 environment. These health and safety protocols could change as the public health situation evolves. Please check this page prior to Humanities Day 2022 on October 15.

Thank you for your support and cooperation for Humanities Day 2022 in-person sessions on the UChicago campus.
